So brakes don't need to be able to stop you as well when it's cold? I'd think brakes were one of those things that kind of needs to work everywhere/all the time. No doubt carbon/ceramic can be better on the track, key word "can", doesn't mean the execution will guarantee that, it's not an end-all-be-all. The big beefy brembo calipers and rotors on my C5 camaro were far away superior than the M sport brakes I have now. You get a lot more for your money there IMO.
