In this case, i have solved the leather problem and also got the ventilated seats as well. As i can see in the ETK, the seats are identical. Just different part numbers on the seat module, but i guess the difference is that the M3, X3 M seat has illuminated seat back logo. Does anyone have an idea?
It sucks if i order merino with standard sport seats and cant retrofit the M-sport seats.

This "no Merino with M seats" decision came from Individual Manufaktur, or this was your dealer telling you what the system is showing?
My understanding is that Individual Manufaktur will do what you want for a price, as long as it is legal in your country. And these M seats are available in Merino in the M cars, so there no technical or supplier reason for these seats not to be in Merino. If anything, this looks like a marketing reason - no 3- or 4 Series will have an interior that looks like an M car.
Regardless, I will be requesting the M seats as well and have no problem with Vernasca in Cognac, and the rest of the interior in Nappa/Merino Black.

Since the M seats aren't offered on the standard car in the US, in order for bmw to fulfill the order they'd have to literally go through the process of crashing an entire car.
