As an update, got a nail in one of my tires so I needed to go into the shop. Had the bmw dealer plug the tire and check the vehicle with ista. Shop foreman said there is no official retrofit coding in ista yet to perform the official retrofit, despite the test plan indicating there is one, as my vehicle is throwing a fault code since installing the correct tailgate evaluation electronics module and not yet being coded!

NJ BMW dealers are allowed to plug tires? BMW dealers in all of CA will 100% not plug a tire! They say they are under strict orders from BMWNA not to!
