Lightbulb BMW iX 40 MSport - Why so many RESALE soon after buying new?

Hi,

Im looking to replace old car with something - criteria has been:
1) Modern large vehicle with
2) Good legroom, especially at the back
3) Economical and Future-proof, possibly with Hybrid or even Full electric.
4) Good reliability
5) Good Resale value

Until recently, the iX 40 M-Sport ticked all the boxes, in fact, my family loved the iX the first time we test drove it, it has everything we want ... HOWEVER... then the doubts started creeping-in just short of purchasing a 2nd hand iX 40 M-Sports with just 1000 miles on the clock:

Doubt 1) Most of my journeys are in city (80%) however once a month i do have long motorway/highway journey, ... so the question is ... can I make it: from Birmingham to London and back (total of approx 220miles) on a single charge... or would i need to find somewhere to top up?

Doubt 2) Why is there quite a few iX up for resale so soon after buying (with between 1000 - 10,000miles on the clock)?? there are even some iXs with just 15,000 miles but already with 2 previous owners!! Is there an issue with range or usability that the buyers did not factor?

Any owner insight would be greatly appreciated!
