Actually, it should be much worse at an airport than your own garage, at least for me it is. If you ever walked by someone else's tesla while having your key on you, you will notice that tesla's light will turn on for a bit and then off. The car senses the Tesla key and then realize that it is not the right key and then turn off. At an airport, there are tesla owners coming and going all the time and that will turn your car on and off all the time, at least that is my theory. My airport drain has been the worst when I parked at the EV spot, but there are no available chargers available, so I am surrounded by a bunch of other Teslas (and their owners will come and go).

I did wish BMW has an optional cabin overheat protection, for when I am at the airport and do manage to get a charging spot, I can safely leave that on. Besides that, it's better to come back to a 100 degrees cabin than a 120 degrees cabin.
