My last charge was 301 miles @ 70%. Living in Arizona has its benefits in terms of rain, snow, and cold not being a factor. There are some basic steps I do to achieve an efficient drive:
- Use Efficient mode
- Do not exceed 25% power utilization on acceleration
- Start coasting about 1/3 mile before your stop or turn
- Engage light regen well ahead of a stop, do not go fast and then slow down aggressively like you used to do when driving ICE
- Pre-climatize before leaving home using wall power
IOW if you drive it like it were a Prius you can also get 400+ miles on a full charge. I don't always need the maximum EV thrill ride experience, which comes at the cost of range. One can still "punch it" here and there while still achieving excellent efficiency. I also maximize my range as a challenge. This isn't something I would expect most people will want to do.
