It’s been buggy since it’s inception - especially on the original head unit (pre-March builds). if it makes you feel any better, I have to reboot mine sometimes daily, sometimes every few weeks because the head unit either runs out of memory or CPU resources. If there’s any good news with this, it’s that you can do a reset while you’re driving down the road. Performing an iDrive reboot does not affect the instrument cluster screen, so it’s perfectly safe to do it while driving. This will clear up any CarPlay or eSIM issues you might run into.
