Not often do i need reboot. Had to do it only when idrive went blank once, a few times for myBmw app not syncing and when i had the restraint control glitch. Beyond that i leave it alone. Maybe i don't have esim and not using android auto on daily basis might help the idrive to "behave " as intended.
I use BMW built in Navigation all the time but android auto does have the advantage of a bigger database of addresses. The only thing is i don't use AA regularly because i can't lower the navigation volume down to an absolute minimum and the maps look superimposed, less classy on the idrive.Point given for its accuracy and big navigation database.
