When you say pay for everything up front how do you mean ?
I also guess, if your invited to a b/day party, you wouldnt expect to pay for stuff except a gift? Like you go to a wedding, your fed, watered and you dance for free, except you have a gift ?
Maybe the feel in a restaurant is different.
