It only looks like 3rd party adapters became available (at scale) within the past month. At the time Rivian & Ford onboarded, there was only one source. GM started distributing NACS adapter training guides to dealers, and it appears they are showing the Lectron adapter, which aligns with other rumors. So it appears that GM did not put their eggs solely in the Tesla basket. With other options coming online, I would not be surprised to see Ford & Rivian add them to their suppliers along with the other upcoming automakers expected to onboard soon.

The GM folks are anticipating release of the adapters and onboarding any day now.
