Suspension tuning has a crazy number of factors. In general, softer springs allow the tires to stay in more contact with the road. Of course you never want the suspension to bottom out, which suddenly and sharpy increases the spring rate, destroying grip, and a million other factors play in, from weight transfer to down force to the road condition to shock tuning to available travel to camber and so on until you just wanna say fuck it and never touch anything. Too much spring rate, for instance, overheats tires that aren't made to take a lot of heat.
All I did was add a little bit of camber to the front, take a little off the back, and reduce toe in the back. I don't feel a significant difference, but I switched tires at almost the same time. It's still difficult to get the tail out.
