I don't know how you put an iX in a service mode where it is totally unpowered, but I know it is possible in other BEVs. I did a project on another car where there was a documented procedure to disconnect the high voltage battery and the low voltage battery.
You cannot just disconnect the 12V battery, because the car is actually powered by the high voltage battery through a DC-DC low voltage converter. The 12V only exists to kick start the HV process.
