Hi all,

I had a pair of rear tyres this week at BMW. Standard issue Bridgestones. I noted on the service sheet that they only have 6mm tread when new. I think that all tyres on my other cars have 8mm when new.

What's the reason? They are 3rd used as soon as they are fitted. Bmw recommend replacement at 3mm, so are we actually expected to pay £200+ for 3mm usage?
