And that's the crux of it - nobody gives a shit about anybody but themselves these days. My new neighbors downstairs slam their doors and play their music upload (with the subwoofer adjusted WAY too high) enough to shake my apartment - they don't care. People constantly have their dogs off leash despite apartment rules and city laws stating it's illegal. They don't pick up their dog shit. They drive way to fast in the complex. They play their music way too loud at the pool - don't give a shit if other people dislike their taste (which is pretty much guaranteed as the loudest is usually the shittiest music). Everything is just 100% all about what suits them and to hell with others.
