LOL. Again, MPG doesn not define "green." Ecological footprint is what defines if something is "green."

Well, 70% of electricy worldwide is made from coal, oil and gas.
Second, how much energy and natural resources (= biggest part of its ecological footprint) are used for the making of this car, compared to a small and simple car ?
But yeah, people who will buy an i8 over an R8, because "it is more ecological" are probably the target audience of this kind of car.
I bet you that no political environmentalist will ever be seen driving around in a i8.

Target customers like myself would also have their house "off the grid" and be using solar panels...(at least those were my thoughts).
In 6 years, once issues with this and the X5 plug in are ironed out, I see these two cars as the ultimate green garage (solar panels included).
