Word of warning
This for all electric cars really, not just the i8.
Unplugged my i8 as I do daily and started reversing out my driveway…
All well until all of a sudden lose all brake pressure and gain scores of dash alarms. I normally leave the charge cable lying on the drive and drive over it as my box is on the opposite side to the charge port. My problems arose when the cable stuck to the front tyre whilst reversing and wrapped around the inner wheel. This yanked the hydraulic line out of the brake calliper and wall box half off the wall!
Two weeks later car still on the driveway and still waiting for a new hydraulic line from Germany….
