For the time being, however, they can enjoy the top spot and a bye week:

New England Patriots (9-4)
Tennessee Titans (8-4)
Baltimore Ravens (8-4)
Kansas City Chiefs (8-4)
Los Angeles Chargers (7-5)
Cincinnati Bengals (7-5)
Buffalo Bills (7-5)

I then commented on how the cowboys have basically the easiest season in the NFL and should be winning left and right:
using previous season results is a terrible metric of strength of schedule. teams change season to season. guys get healthy, coaches change.

for example, pats were under 500 last season and now are the #1 seed in the division. Chargers, under 500 last season, playoff team this year. Broncos and raiders both at or under 500 last season, in the playoff hunt this season. Cards went 8-8 last season and are the #1 seed in the NFC. In fact, if you readjust SOS for this season, Cowboys have played or will play 11 teams that have a legit shot at making the playoffs.

Hell, the Cowboys were 6-10 last season and have a shot at the #1 seed this season.
