Great work! Was it time consuming? Interested to hear total cost and time?
I chose an LCI over the pre-LCI for this reason as after cost of the Bimmertech upgrade + time off work for installation made it a costly exercise. If it was just cost of parts and loads of free time it looks like a great upgrade.
Interestingly I never use carplay now as I find the integrated nav with heads up much superior to the Apple/Google maps carplay implementation although if that changes in future you're future proofed. I have to disable carplay fully sadly as google maps now only gives instructions and disables the map element completely on the phone which means passengers cannot navigate at the same time.
Well done and very cool as a technical exercise though.
