I'll start:

I've played guitar for over 50 years. In the '60s I was in a garage band and we were pretty crappy quite frankly. More ego than talent. I hated the band dynamics and quit that scene.

I couldn't sing very well and I wasn't a good enough guitarist to hold my own without singing (few are). So, I sold my electric gear and bought a used Martin acoustic and just played for my own enjoyment. I've had many guitars over the years but that old Martin is the one I've kept. I still cannot sing, but I do get it out from time to time and just play old favorites or learn a new song that catches my ear.

It got me thinking. How many of you in this crazy crowd currently play or played guitar? Were/are you in a band? Do you still play? What's your favorite guitar?
