Speaking to San Diego, Pacific Coast Highway is a great drive. Be warned though, beaches are closed along with any parking lot near the beaches and the police are aggressively enforcing the closures/traffic laws. A few weekends ago I tried to get a few pictures of the sunset. Parked my car in what I thought was a discreet location and got rolled by Highway Patrol in about 30 seconds.
