Just wanted to share with you a little solution I'm using to tackle the issue of the i8 butterfly doors hitting other cars or the wall in tight parking spaces.
I am carrying around this small piece of foam with a slit at the bottom (came out of my son's swimming board) in the glove compartment. Each time I suspect that the door might hit something I slide it underneath the door. This prevents any scratching and allows me to maneuver myself in or out of the car without having to stay holding the door.
