well, read this entire thread before noticing that it's a decade old. would have suggested 'God And Man At Yale' (William F. Buckley Jr.) just as sort of an inoculation against all the SJW bilge you were about to swim through as an undergrad. didn't suggest any from the usual list because it was evident from the quality of your writing that you were already reading at a much greater rate than your HS colleagues.
won't comment on the early respondent JayKay because your response to him did the job quite well.
but my reason for responding: very curious as to how it all turned out for you since we haven't heard from you in ten years.
