I only drink water, beer, wine and alcohol (normally straight). It's what I have to do to stay "healthy".
I don't like soft drinks enough to deal with the negatives (maybe 10 a year), from the empty calories to the ingredients that seem suspect at best. When I look at the calories in a Coke I would rather get them from chocolate or something else I really like.
On the skeptical side I have no idea what "some of the same chemicals as X" really means. Both could have the same completely safe chemical in them.
