It looks like you're absolutely right - I've just had a play adding a car to Autotrader and it's a flawed recognition algorithm, it will add any 2018 car as a 'i8 Coupe 18 - Current' rather than 'i8 Coupe 14-18' - therefore it will list it as a 11.7 kw car. Either the sellers don't know this or they will claim ignorance that Autotrader did it automatically!
Either way, mystery solved!
