Went to theater last week for this movie . . . .
very little of the whole story, drawn out scenes, short on dialog,
some good snipet story scenes in air or water. And a piston / prop
fighter aircraft can't dead stick for near half hour.
it was okay.

And from what i have read, the German army at that time just wanted
the alleged Allied forces "out". Thus giving them time to finish the take
over and bolster the coastal defenses.
