HV Batteries
5 out of 6 HV batteries were shot on my 2017 i8 with less than 15k miles. It took 4 months and 3 weeks to get the parts! It was covered under warranty, but that is too long. If BMW wants to expand into EV, they need to get their act together. Sounds like more and more i8's with HV battery problems. Hope you have better luck.
