This is why there is debate. The i3 CAN'T take the M3 off the line but people watch this video and think "wow the i3 is faster than an M3 to 60? That's amazing!" It might be faster for 1.5 seconds but that's not exactly winning "off the line." The M3 loses traction because it's fast and has over 100 ftlbs more torque than the i3. Instant or not for the i3, it doesn't take long for the M to hit 3k rpm (and virtually instant with 6mt or dct launch) and have a long flat torque curve to 7k rpms.

The i3 is fine and for a niche buyer, but what is the point of this video?
