Hey thanks for asking. I decided to bring it into a BMW specialist shop and after taking apart the car they found out that is was a loose connection by the passenger footwell. My memory doesn't serve me well, but I believe that it was something related to the fuse in the fusebox either not being there or it was loose. They eventually reached that conclusion by running diagnostics and realizing that the LINBUS was not responding as expected. I am not expert in these things but that is what I recall from then.
To save you some money and time at first, I'd recommend you take off the fuse panel and see which fuse is related to the interior lighting (Sorry, I do not know which one it is at this time) and see if it is missing/loose
As a side note, my coding worked fine and did not affect the ability of the lights to come on or off. Restored it multiple times to factory and it was a hardware issue, not a software one. That was when I decided to bring it into the shop.
