No one else than MAX got the power there , he ran a gap together of 13 sec. on the first spaceship with HAM&Grandma in it
I said 13 seconds ! In F1 that's a sea of time , while MAX lifted his right foot already with 5 laps to run ....
Otherwise it was 20 + seconds !

Im not arguing that RB didnt get closer to Merc as the year went on, but this is something we see every year basically. Merc stops development in the current car and starts work on next year mid-way through the season. Near the end of the season, other teams catch up. Everyone claims RB will be in it next year. Next year, season begins and Merc is WAAAAAAY out front. Rinse Repeat.
