Maybe it helps that my left knee hasn't had the two soccer related surgeries that my right one has, but I read your words and remain unswayed.
Until I can't buy a new car with a manual, I will continue to ignore all autos. And when that moment happens, I'll just buy used.
I use a fountain pen and wear mechanical watches. I even have a few jackets with pocket watch button holes. I'm not Steampunking it up or hitting Renaissance Faires, but I moved on from BMW USA a few years ago because of the lack of manuals.
Ironically, I accept EV'a and their single speeds. Anything is better than a car thinking it knows better than me.
