1) Why do you care what others think? If you feel the need to respond to someone making a negative comment regarding a decision you made, that is a whole other problem.

2) What you note that they are saying is accurate. BMW's do have a reputation for not being the most reliable cars available. In addition, they also have a terrible depreciation curve - especially in the first couple of years. Those statements are 100% true. Most who buy a BMW are well aware of this, and choose to accept these negatives for all the positives the car brings along with it.

3) Refer to my first sentence again.
