Terrible news. Dackleone was a true enthusiast which is evident in his adventures across Europe and taking us to museums and automotive events with gorgeous pictures and insightful commentary.
The little automotive collections across Europe he knew about were little treasures and he wrote in detail about cars, motorcycles, art, and locations like you were there with him experiencing it like the reader and him were longtime friends.
Our last messages were about how we both attended the Villa d'Este at Lake Como in Cernobbio with the unveiling of the Concept 8 Series and how we missed each other while there for two days. I still cherish my press credentials from that year because they were issued from BMW Classic and that was my first international assignment.
We chatted about returning there someday soon and having lunch or dinner on Lake Como after a day of taking in lots of cars. Plan on a little toast in your name when I return to Italy in a salute to you my friend. Rest In Peace.
