Interesting about the HUD. I've been surprised how many great, high-end cars (e.g. Tesla, Porsche, NSX) lack a HUD. I find it one of the best features of the more luxurious BMW's, particularly its help in using the Nav system. In the case of the i8, the tach/gear selection graphics that are displayed on the HUD when in Sport/Manual shift mode are very useful. Any idea why others don't employ it?
BTW, hope you enjoy Munich this week. Sorry I'm missing it, but looking forward to hooking up with you in Leipzig in September.
