Well as we know, the California King is longer than it is wide as opposed to a "regular" king which is nearly square. This is due to Californians being taller than they are wide, as opposed to, say, those on the east coast.
To explore this theory let consider the following;
Have you ever heard the lyrics "I wish they'd all become New Jersey girls" or "I wish they'd all become a Carolina girl", "I wish they'd all become Maryland (ie: SMIBS) girls", or (and I shudder to think) "I wish they'd all become Georgia girls"?
No!
The lyrics are, "I wish they'd all become California girls."
And you know why?

You always get a California King because then when your neighbor, cousin, or sister sees your bed, then looks at you (or your spouse
), they'll think "hey, maybe he/she isn't as fat as I thought," and "maybe they are better in bed than I realized. Damn, I'm gonna git me sum to-nite as soon as I get drunks enough to ask."
NEVER - EVER - get a "regular" king because - "regular" ain't right (nor is it regular either).
I wonder how many people on this forum from Missouri just ordered a California King bed?
