I'd agree if I watched it live. We record it and FFWD through the slogs to get to the good stuff. I'll bet the riders wish they could do that.
In point of fact the Tour organizers essentially DID do it; they had two very short mountain stages, all action and no long transits to the next mountain. Knocked almost all of the top sprinters completely out of the Tour with them.
