Hydrogen is indeed the future, however I would like to see the hydrogen burned in an ICE (water is the only exhaust), as this would allow a manual transmission.
JCB is doing this now!
Also, the Hydrogen Fuel Cell is delicate, finicky, complicated and still requires a large battery (with lithium shortages looming).
JCB is leading the way to use existing technology to burn hydrogen in our existing engines with a head modification and fuel source modification…. Keeping the manual transmission!
I would like to be able to fix my own ICE, versus going to the dealership to get my fragile H2 Fuel Cell repaired.
