Without a doubt you can expect i3 levels of depreciation. The single biggest expense in this car is the battery and that technology is rapidly changing. Your car can (and will) be made obsolete much quicker than an ICE, and that will contribute to the depreciation. In my opinion, an ix with a sticker of $100k will be worth about $38k in 36 months.
Solid state lithium batteries (15 min charge and 80% more range) are expected to arrive in as little as three years.
