That WhistlePig is from Alberta Distillers, IIRC. Some of their offerings are sourced from MGP in Indiana - maybe the 12 year? If you're looking for an everyday cocktail rye, George Dickel rye is also MGP distilled, 4 years old, I think and at $25/bottle here it's damned tough to beat from a value perspective. Not the most complex sipper, but makes a great Sazerac or Manhattan.
yeah, i was also a fan of the mckenna prior to the gold medal fiasco...it's just funny that many people think they're buying the same whiskey without considering the whole notion of single barrell bottlings! luckily the navy exchange pricing is still discounted from that old $35 MSRP!!

and yes, WP10SB is still sourced from canada. i'm a huge fan of ryes generally, and whistle pig specifically. i think their last farmstock bottling was the first to contain a majority of their own homegrown juice. i do appreciate what they're trying to do...unlike many other "new wave" bottlers whose only goal is to blend MGP juices.
