I have a "friend" who's considered installing some of these lights on his vehicles both front and back. I'd suggest that if your friend chose to do it that he not get caught using them on the road to discourage bad behaviour is all.
And if your "friend" got caught he'd probably want to have a good reason for having them installed in the first place. Like he has a long dark driveway and needs them for backing out and avoiding hazards.....sorry, I didn't realize they were turned on officer.
