I'm going to answer my own question and shed some more light on this topic for those who want this option in their 2019 i8 (or other model years). Part Number: 84106840126 (Supersedes): 84-10-6-840-126; 84106830808; 84109391200 according to

They list compatibility for a bunch of cars including the i8 Roadster from "2018-2020" (although it was only made from 2019-2020).
Part #84102449887 is an identical appearing device and using ECS tuning I noted that it also fits various BMWs but does not explicitly mention the i8 at all. However, it does in fact fit (random check) a few 2-series and the M4-coupe which I checked as also compatible with 84106840126.

It stands to reason then all of these part numbers would work in all of these cars as well as the i8 roadster.
Review: 84102449887, 84106840126, 84106830808, and 84109391200 are all the same part.
