Things is, maybe im missing something simple.... How would they know the exact date I crossed the 50k miles threshold and start the 1 year unlimited doomsday countdown? ( Unless my car "calls back home" via teleservices and rats me out ).

Yeah i guess if i bring it for service and the odometer is read...but you know what i mean?
