There are things called chromosomes, nucleic acids and protein which control genetic distribution within cell reproduction and determine things like skin color, gender, etc. The comprising of separate genetic pools and their consolidation can lead to outliers of such quality, and beautiful results, like Lisa Bonet, despite having darker parents.
