Forum lurker/2 week owner of my 1st BMW car. (Own a bike already)
TPM malfunction gets to 49% and gives up.
MFR date MAY 2017
Is the computer looking for a certain speed during reset?
Dead transmitter batteries in the valve stems?

Side notes, during this time, already had a BMW dealer preemptively replace the 12v aux battery.
They reset the TPM and I still got the error. I figure it's the batteries in the tires, stopping here before I do this the hard way.
