If you like hiking, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding (I taught skiing/snowboarding for 20 years full time after retiring), sailing, biking (#1 bike city in US), mt. biking, etc. It's the place to be. Dry side of the mountains is 1.5 hours away.
BIG Foody scene. Wine tasting in Woodinville. Winery tours 3 hours or less.
As Shimmy said, housing is pricey. He didn't say that traffic is lousy.
