I am the original owner of a 2014 i8. The maintenance costs are far lower than what you mention. The car still turns heads anywhere I go…..
I have 16,500 miles on it because I store it in the winter - constantly plugged in. Battery is still showing close if not full capacity. I did get aftermarket wheels since the original wheels are a bit narrow.
I will be selling mine because I just got another car. I suggest you shop the seller just as much as the car itself. In my case, I do have all of the maintenance records and have it services at the dealer where I bought it from.
