The car does 0-60 in 3.2sec with NA motor and revs out to 9k RPM - what more do you want lol? This 4.0 engine was Brand New for the 991.2 GT3. They improved every aspect of the car.
GT3 has always been a track car first that you can drive on the street. It was never intended to be a street / GT car that can also be tracked.

its running the same time as the outgoing RS. same power, same weight, similar aero... maybe even better front aero thanks to the nostrils. a few seconds on a 7 minute track is not that big of a deal to me.
as for street car vs track car... The GT3 is the streetable version. The RS is the track car. Chris Harris daily drives a touring (wingless GT3) as well as many other people. the RS has very stiff suspension by comparison.
the demand is also there for the street car. Tourings are getting 15-30k over msrp on resale. GT3RS are going for 30k below sticker now.
