That wasn't the prototype they did that part of a recall campaign, Since I was one of the early 2014 adopters I was lucky enough to exsperience the i3 with original software that was detuned in 2014 during the "update and recall". Against my wishes !
Hated that they did that.
They replaced the motor mount bolt and detuned the original oomph it had.
Now with the i3S and new bolts they used I'm not worried.
As far as the splines, parts are cheap enough if I get into problems I can replace rather cheaply. Gotta pay to play. Also no sure how much HP they added. If it's the same as the i3S then what are we worried about ? They all have the same parts
Also if I need to make custom stronger parts it gives me a project
Either way should be fine.
