Mine was a 2 year option to extend. As id taken the original, plus not had it serviced since the original expired in October, ìt has extended ok. In the long pdf, there's the wording as you say re Service Included, then there's a section about 'extended'.
For £8, i've nothing to lose. However, my payment has been accepted and my car now shows Nov 2022
