No, what I meant was that the only 2 reasons to carry a firearm would be for your work or for the protection of life. I was under the impression that
Grumpy Old Man knew of people that got permits under the protection of life clause - I was curious as to the circumstances where police would admit that they are unable to offer sufficient protection.
