old drivers were smoking, drinking often, having a big belly wasnt a problem as well..
maybe they were risking their lives more but for G part, cars couldnt grip that much in corners for that..
modern F1 cars are much safer but more physically demanding, old cars were risky to drive but less physically demanding.. so if you swap drivers, both might struggle.. but if you re fit you can risk your life, but if you re not fit you cant cope with physical demand.. so i agree with MK..
